Cayman Islands Red Cross

WestTel provide free easyConnect Internet service which allowed operatives to be online with their overseas command centres during the hurricane warning associated with Hurricane Dean during August 2007. We also made a donation to the Red Cross for every new sign up that we received at the launch event for our easyConnect services in September.

Young Caymanian Leaders Award

WestTel was the Keynote Sponsor for the 2008 event which celebrates and supports future Caymanian leaders across commerce and community. This annual event is well supported by the business community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

We provide free Internet and phone lines to this growing initiative.

Humane Society

The Humane Society supports a number of initiatives including spaying / neutering programmes and puppy transfers. WestTel is working on a joint program with one of our premier customers, Cayman Airways, to transfer puppies off the island to facilities in the U.S. where they can be adopted.

Red Dress Affair

The Red Dress Affair raises awareness of women’s health issues. We have been Internet provider to the event in previous years but we are working with the organizers to take a higher profile role this year.

Sport Sponsorship

WestTel is hockey in the Cayman Islands. We have joint sponsorship of the local roller hockey adult league and will assume sponsorship of a kids roller hockey league in March 2008. We also sponsor a ball hockey team and a roller hockey team. WestTel also sponsor the WestTel Giants flag football team
